my husband and i our expecting our first baby in march. he was pritty suprised and actually freaked out by me wanting a freebirth, but once i ordered the fetscope, bp cuff and protein pee strips he was like "wow you are serious about this"?! I also ordered a bunch of books for us to read. we spoke about his fears and i would answer any questions. so i also bought him the emergency childbrth book and left it on the table today when i went to work. SO THIS IS THE EXCITING PART... he calls me during his break and he says: did you know that if the cord is around the babies neck you wait until the whole baby is out and than you unravel it. and if you see an arm hanging out get to the hospital, oh yeah and breech babies are delivered doggy style... 
he is so cute! he went from freaking out fearfull to informing me about what he would do in an emergency. these were his main concerns about freebirth so now that we have that taken care of i can help him build his faith in the divine process of giving birth and look at all the beauty. this is huge for our families future and having his support takes a load off my pregnant mind. :LOL
