I picked up this book at the library since it was listed on the "Gentle Discipline" booklist. I can't address the books she has written about positive discipline and older children - but her book on ages 1 - 3 was very disappointing. She was anti-most AP practices (Extended Breastfeeding, Co-sleeping, etc) and recommended putting a baby in a playpen rather than getting "burnt-out" by holding your child all the time.
Just wanted to pass this info along - there were some good things (she explains how most toddlers don't understand the word no in the way parents think they do) but so much of the book seemed to condemn what I consider foundational parenting choices - I didn't give much creedance to the rest of what she had to say.
Is there a way to remove this from the list or add a cauutionary note?
