Is there any chance my wisdom teeth will just fall out?

For several years they've just been rotting away as they came in. (All but one which is fine...it grew in sideways where I can actually brush it).
They've never hurt, but one is just a black hole now, and the others are just little pieces still left that sometimes cut my cheek.
Is there any chance...any chance at all...that my "ignore it and hope it goes away" approach will work?
I don't know anything about dental health...
TIA!

Ouch! I don't know, I've never heard that. I had all mine removed. Mine grew in sideways but in our family that means they push up against the other teeth and cause lots of lovely problems (and pain) so letting them do their own thing isn't pleasant

I think you should see a dentist if you can. Infected teeth (thinking of the black hole as a possibility) *can* affect your whole body if they get bad enough. If you can't see one (or until you can) I'd make sure to take real good care of your teeth. Brush and floss after every meal and maybe try salt water rinses daily to kill off any bad germs. I swear by salt water whenever I have gum problems. Not sure about actual teeth though.

Thanks for the response!
Yeah..I definitely need to see a dentist. I think I might have a couple of other small cavities, as well, anyway. It just seems like at least one of my wisdom teeth is just naturally falling out in pieces...I can feel good, normal gum tissue that's grown in as most of the tooth has fallen out.
The one that just looks like a black hole...it's very disturbing, but it's been like this for well over 2 years, so I don't think it's infected. It's just....there. And kinda icky and creepy.
The other one might have healthy gum tissue growing in, but the tooth came in in such a way that I can't really feel underneath with my tongue to know one way or another or see what's going on.
*sigh*
I hate the dentist. I wish I could figure out what I might be facing before going in.
