Retraction at 4 months?

While i was changeing DS the other day i noticed that his foreskin was partially retracted and his glans was showing slightly. Is this normal? Also he has (IMO) a super long foreskin. His foreskin extends past his glans about a half inch or so. I am not panicing or anything and i figure everything is perfectly normal. I know for a fact that he hasn't been forecfully retracted ever at all. Only me and DH have changed him ever.

He sounds perfectly normal.

The "super-long foreskin" is common in babies. It gives them growing room, so to speak. I wouldn't worry about it.

I can maybe see 1 cm of glans on ds. He also has a lot of overhang. No worries!

Neither of my ds's were retractile that young, but when my sister's and my almost 2 year olds were in the bath together w/ my then 5 yo and her 4yo (it's pretty cute to get the 4 of them in the tub together. LOL), it was pretty obvious her baby, then about 9 mos, was probably completely retractile, and my baby obviously wasn't. Nobody had ever retracted it and she asked me if I thought it was ok or if I thought she needed to do anyhting, like retract it to clean it for him. I said I figured it was within normal range and not to worry about it unless it caused problems and leave it alone unless he seemed like it was bothering him (my older ds was forcibly retracted at 1 year and it needed to be rinsed out once in a while or else he'd cry that his pee pee burned.) Her 4 yo is still not retractile at all. My 6yo always shows him how to do it when we visit. They think it's hysterical. :LOL
