that is anti-circ and has a conservative Christian viewpoint?

I'm looking for something I can pass along to my cousin, who just found out they are expecting a boy. Trying to be as realistic as possible, my thought is that this may be the only way they will consider looking into the issue. They live in an area of the country with a pretty high circ rate. This will be the first baby boy in our family for 20 years too.

Dr. Sears and wife wrote a book on Christian Parenting, I beleive, and the website is pretty clear about circumcision only being for religious reasons (Jewish or Muslim), so that might work?

This isn't really something I would know much about, but maybe someone else here knows of somethign more specific.

I think there is also the catholics against circ site that shows where in the New Testament it says circing is unnecessary.

Hope someone can give you more info!

wow thanks for that, VERY informative. I am a Christian and one of my big issues has always been circ. After reading that and seeing that circ in the Bible was something totally different than what we do now I feel ALOT better.I have always been confused about why God would want someone to butcher their childs sex organs like that. That page really helps me alot. I have always been under the belief that the ways of the O.T. were something that was leading up to Christ and ended when he died for us. But even in all that I still questioned circ. knowing it was only a tiny slit cut is good to know. I am going to make sure I pass this information along to anyone who circs for religeous purposes in hopes they will not do a "complete" circ as doctors do nowadays.
