We started not-not trying 6 mos before, but last December I asked dh if he really wanted to be a dad. He'd been hemming and hawing about how it was up to me and he'd go with what I wanted and so on. I said, I'm asking you now what YOU want. After an argument of sorts, he came back to me and said quietly that he would like to be a dad. We conceived probably a week later. So once we were really trying, it was like lightning.

All three took one month. I also have never gotten pg on accident. DH and I went 6 years with no artificial birth control, just NFP and no oopses. We are super fortunate. DH is freaked out and wants a vasectomy immediately.

We casually tried for about a month, I think. We had just decided that it would be OK if we conceived at that point, so we abandoned our natural bc methods. It probably helped a lot that we were still fairly newlywed!

I'm one of those lucky ones who can't even imagine what having to try must be like. Three suprises, the fourth we talked about, decided to try in January for October and if that didn't work we would wait till late summer for a spring baby. It worked.

I read the book Taking Charge of Your Fertility about 6 yrs ago and learned my body signals. I generally know about 7 days before I ovulate that my body is gearing up for it and can pin it down within a 6 hr window. And I don't have the patience for taking temps and such. Despite very irregular cycles (4 wks-7 months), I know exactly what day my period will start every time. I love being so in tune with my body.

We used this to avoid sex during my fertile days for 5 yrs before ttc. Worked like a charm. When we did ttc, we had two pregnancies with one try each and one that took 2 cycles.

One try for the first one, four months for the second (seemed like forever).

I was a really bummed when mine happenned so fast. When I'm trying to get pg is the only time I enjoy sex so i was hoping we would have to try for a while. then it happens so fast i hardly get any enjoyment out of it. just thinking about it makes me especially now since we aren't having any more kids.
