With the huge Ren Faire in our hometown every year at this time (a very cool thing about where we live!) we are studying life during the Renaissance.
It's so interesting! Did you know that alot of ppl used the ends of bread as bowls for their soup (hence, breadbowls) and not just once, but over and over again? The thing would be all crusty and hard, ew! So neat though!
Another interesting fact is how the bubonic plagued actually helped to create the middle class, by eliminating alot of the peasant folk, the craftsmen were in higher demand, and thus paid more for their trades!
