Poor little boy

I've mentioned here before about my pro-circ mom who is a special ed teacher (3-5 year olds). She has some students who need diaper changes and she used to come home talking about how the "uncircumcised" kids had tiny penises and how it was too bad their parents were too poor to circumcise them, etc.

She was pretty pissed when she learned we weren't going to circ her grandson, telling us how it would make his penis smaller. lol. After he was born, she did admit she was glad we didn't put him through the circumcision, but that she still believed it was the parent's choice.

Today she told me about a new kid she has. He is deaf, has learning disabilities (I assume), and isn't potty trained. She said that with all the strikes against him, his penis is terribly scarred from being circumcised. She said if there was a perfect testament to why parents should NOT circumcise, this little boy is it. She did not go into detail, but I feel so bad for the little guy.. but it is amazing that my mom has changed her mind on this issue!

intact penises are smaller?

That's a new one!!!
So a penis is somehow BIGGER after you CUT OFF part of it??

anyway, as far as I've seen all little babies have wee little penises.

Does she have any boys? I think her problem is that she doesn't know what normal penises are suppose to look like.

Nope, she doesn't have any boys, just me and my sister. Scary thought that I would be circumcised if I had been a boy. Yikes!

Jen, I know, I don't get it either.
edit.. Actually, I think I may know where some of that is coming from (I've posted about it before, too). She always thought her friend's grandson was intact, but it turns out he is circumcised. I guess he has that hidden penis thing. I have since met the little boy and did see him streaking..lol. To the "untrained eye," he might look uncircumcised, but I could definitely tell something was wrong. You know what it reminded me of? The end of a deflated balloon. The end didn't taper at all. His mom and grandma both confirmed that he had been circ'd at birth.
I think seeing him may have made her think all intact boys look like that. Who knows, maybe some of the circ'd boys in her class had similar problems, making them look intact to her. Then again, maybe they were just small, and would have been small if they were circumcised, too.

Wow. Tragic for him, but it's nice your mom came around.
