I started a thread about my daughter bobo. Well she hit her mouth on the toilet. Her lip swelled up pretty bad. But I was thankful she didn't hit her teeth or break her nose the way she hit the toilet. This was about 2 wks ago. Now I'm freaken out!!!!!!!My dd just tuned 3 her front tooth is starting to turn a very light gray. I need some advise. After she hit her mouth the next day she had her 3 yr check up. MY pediatrician said he didn't think she damaged her teeth. I was getting ready to start taken her to the dentist this year. She has beautiful teeth. What am I goen to do. The last thing I want is to have them pull it. I couldn't stand to see her scared and in pain. I was told the dentist straps the kids down to keep them from moving. I'm totally freaken out what should I do!!!!!!!!!

Call the pediatric dentists in your area and explain your fears and what you want before setting up any appointments.
When my dd was 2 yo, her teeth started breaking/crumbling and I had the same fears you do. I called and called and finally found one way on the other side of the city, but they had no problem having me in the room with her while she was being worked on. It was an awesome place. They even had a big picture window with chairs, so, that when I was pregnant and didn't want to be on my feet the whole time, I could sit and see my children and they could see me.

This happens alot What happened ( most probably) is when she fell she did hit the tooth. The reason it is turning gray is the nerve in the tooth died. DONT FREAK it happens alot to toddlers. The tooth does not have to be pulled it will most likely stay just that way until if falls out naturally. You may want to take her to a ped dentist OR your dentist for a quick peek. Unless the tooth abcesses - that would look like a little yellow pimple on the gum under her lip right above the dark tooth- then you would need treatment. I was a dental hygienist for 17 yrs ( now a sahm yeah!!) and saw dark baby teeth quite frequently. Give a dentist a call but dont worry. It happened to my ds also.
