it's me - i'm home!
i am still really tired and still have headache, but i wanted to thank you all for your positive vibes and warm wishes...they really helped. funny - when my dh was updating family/friends, i said 'oh, can you go on MDC running thread and post an update?' since you guys actually played a part in my decision to have it checked out [i usually ignore stuff like that or just try to 'get over it'] i thought it was fair to keep you updated too!
don't have the presence right now to post anything too detailed [besides, dh got it mostly right] but the deal is that i did bleed in my brain, but it was a small capillary break and it stopped on its own - therefore none of the test were showing anything actively bleeding or needing to be fixed. i have to go back to the neurologist in 3-4 weeks for follow up, but he says it shouldn't happen again nor am i at risk for anything more serious as a result.
i can say this: MRIs are an instrument of the devil. i know they do good things and stuff...but it was like a torture device. they had to give me valium because i am claustrophobic, so you can imagine being isolated down a long tube with my aching head clamped down was...not so great for me.
the bad news: no running for ONE MONTH
there goes my plans for race for the cure. trying not to cry. there will be other goals. need to heal first.
thanks for all the thoughts, mamas. me/dh/family really appreciate the support.
lucenamama - thanks for calling; dh got the message. will call you soon.
