What's everyone listening to these days? Going to any good shows this Fall? Still having dreams about the beautiful times at festivals this Summer? Share here!!!

I've been listening to alot of STS9 of late and live Phish. I've heard Trey is sucking lately, but haven't heard him in a couple years.

Got tix to see Mike & Leo play here in Asheville in Sept. and am REALLy excited! We just moved into this city after being in SW Colorado for 3 years (read: 7 hrs away from good music).

PLEASE tell me there are more hip mamas out there!!

Hey Julie!!

Good to "see" you

We caught Trey in Philly last month and it was a good show. No complaints here. We took the baby (15 mos old now) and he had a blast...dancing and waved to Trey. SO cool! A friend of mine gave me a copy of the Aug 9 show when he did an acoustic Ripple in honor of Jerry. Another great show, imo.

I mean, so many people are Trey hatas now so I just ignore them. The man is a freakin musical genius/guitar god. You can't dispute his talent, but I digress.

It has only been recently that I can even listen to phish without wanting to cry my eyes out. baby steps, lol. Ironically enough, dh was channel surfin last night and we caught set III from the '94 Halloween show on sirius. good stuff. I wish we would have caught the 2nd set, but hey, for such a random, unexpected listening, I wasn't gonna complain.

Anyway, I'm otherwise up on the couch. unphishin at home.

You gonna try to go to Vegoose? That looks killer, but that would be waaaaay too much moola for us. I'd love to go, though!

,
Julie (who misses dancing under the stars......)

hey now!
I was hoping you'd find this thread!!

LOL at your senior title :LOL

vegoose? fill me in - I feel so unhip lately, just moving back into a happening city from country livin' and all.

Good to hear that Trey hasn't been completely sucking. When we went to some of his shows a few years ago, they were all (basically) the same and we stopped after a 2 or 3. I heard some song on the (aack) radio (mainstream station) from Phish that I hadn't heard before and it SUCKED. I wonder if they did that song and then decided to end the band.. haha.

Where are you phishJulie? You're eastcoast right? Pennsylvania or something? We should meeet up at a show or festival next summer or something.

I am SO looking forward to Mike & Leo. I have such a crush on Leo... seriously, for a 60-year old guy, he's sexy. :

Trey is doing a show at the Aladdin in Vegas on Friday Oct 28th, 11 pm. Dave Matthews and Tim Reynolds are doing an acoustic show same location and date at 8 pm. I have tickets to Dave and Tim, I'm hoping Trey might stop by.

Haven't picked up my Vegoos tix yet http://www.vegoose.com/index.htm

Best Encore Ever!

Best encore ever iiiiiissssssssssss.......................

Post hiatus phish! :LOL

Seriously. I know what you mean about Trey's solo venture...same songs, not much material, doesn't mix up the arrangements much, just somehow isn't quite right, but you can't quite put your finger on it, but it is still good. It isn't good like "oh, WOW, let's drop everything and jump on trey tour" but it is good enough for something to do 1-3 nights when they come around our neck of the woods, kwim?

The more I've had time to sit back and think about phish/trey, the more I realize that yeah, they really should have stopped the first time with the first hiatus. Coming back, wellllll, that was just a gift to those of us who were having trouble adjusting to life w/no phish and who didn't want the phun to end yet. Heck, I knew it was coming to end circa '98. Post hiatus was just a big ol thanks from the band, a final "taste", if you will. Once I got the Destiny Unbound night, I think I knew it was gonna be done for good soon, and I felt like I was done with it, in a way. Hard to let go, though. I mean, I like the Trey side projects, and always have, but they've never given me the goosebumpy happy-go-lucky feelings that I used to get when it was the fab4 up there on stage. I just see them as good shows, something to see, something to do for a night, and that is all. So, there's my ramble on Mr. Antipasto. good. not greatness. still damned good, though.

Thanks for posting the link, Arduinna! I was wondering if you still did Dave stuff.

Yippee! Feeling hipper ... Went to see Mike & Leo last night!! It was this killer venue that was very small and even in the back, you were really close to the stage. Never realized what a cutie Mike is :LOL

It was WAY too short of a set (but a YUMMY one!). And only one set, to boot. When they finished at 10:30, we were left NEEDING more! I hear Trey is playing here on my b-day. Gotta go get tix now

Hi all... Trey *needs* the horns. Otherwise, it is flat & boring. He needs to lay off the coke, but whatever - that's just my mean-spirited opinion. I was out of town when he played Cleveland, but DH went and said it was "eh."

Honestly, we just listen to whatever comes on the ipod and a lot of the Sirius Jam On channel (comes with our satellite). I am sad that WSP is not coming to Cleveland anymore.
