You're doing it, Mama! Remember, just getting through the last few days is success in itself. Can you do something nice just for you? Have someone else watch the kids so you can go for a solo swim, lunch out with a dear friend or something that you LOVE to do? Also, I find that it helps to have a friend that will make plans with you -- set up plans for just before and just after your EDD with your friend to meet for a walk or playground trip. Then, it's something fun to look forward to instead of being on hold for when your babe is ready. Making plans helps me. Make sure you choose someone who can lighten your spirits if you're feeling down.
And, remember, each day you wake up pregnant you're giving your babe extra vitamins and nutrients to be a healthy newborn on the outside!
Ok, so my fun news... I won't share this with my DH for fear he won't want to have sex with me!!!! As you all may or may not know, I am an addicted baby head toucher... there's nothing I love better than to feel my baby's head while pregnant. WELL, I'm not dilated (good thing because I'm only 29/30 weeks along at the moment) but my babe flipped head down and NOW... I can feel my baby's head through my vaginal wall!!!
OH! It's like the best!!! I'm so close to my baby! I must confess though... now that I know I can feel my baby's head I might just be living with my hand up my yoni for the rest of the pregnancy!
Now, this is what I'm aware of... I'm aware that excess cervical checks can cause weakness with bags of water, increased chances of GBS+(not that I'll be tested for that) and general introduction of bacteria to the birth canal. THAT SAID, I so connected to my baby while head touching. Any reason that you can think of that I shouldn't?
(Oh, I should note, I'm not doing a cervical check, I'm just touching my baby's head through my vaginal wall- my cervix is still very much posterior. AND, it's my own hand I'm using not a strangers.
