HEY Tye dyeing mamas!!! I have a question about synthrapol....

Is there any substitute or can I get it somewhere else?I left my big bottle at my mamas and I just dyed a bunch of stuff and I have NONE! Will this ruin them or am I good just until I have it to use? Thanks so much!

You'll be alright. It may take a little extra rinsing but you'll be all good.
If you feel apprehensive about it, you might check out a knitting or quilting shop, they may carry it, though I am sure it won't be cheap.

I learned through a lot of reading about using dyes and fabric painting; a lot of playing around; thefiber-arts forum; andThe Art of Tie-dye DVD.

Besides learning different folds one of the most important thing I have learned about that has helped me is about the dyes and their interaction with the fabric. I suppose if you understand your medium you'll be better able to use it.
Ann Johnston's Books have been very helpful as well as Elin Noble's

OH and do you get a lot of your supplies at Dharma or what? Cheaper elsewhere?
