My darling boy was born last Sunday, 8-28 at 6:44pm. 8lbs, 6oz, 22.25". I have yet to post my birth story- this is actually the first time I have been on Mothering.com since the Saturday prior.
It was a week full of complications (not unlike the weeks prior to my delivery) but all are healthy and happy now and I am just trying to get my bearings with a newborn and my 2 year old (I'll be visiting the Tandem thread ASAP! although it is going very well). Short of the long- was discharged from the hospital on Tuesday afternoon and baby boy was admitted back in the hospital Wednesday night with a 102 fever. Had the whole gang of tests run but I was sick when I delivered him (I do not recommend this BTW!) and it seems it was just bad timing and he caught the virus I had and my DD had had the week prior. He never acted like a sick baby- nursing great but it was a bit scary! Hospital was all for me co-sleeping as well- just had to sign a waiver- all in all a positive hospital experience. My DD was fine with everything until I had to leave again on Wed nesday for another 48 hours but today is already much better than yesterday- she has actually let me leave her sight many times.
I'm off to the park with DD, leaving my sleeping baby with my Mom and I am anxious to read what has happened this past week!
Hang in there those who are left! I posted my most miserable posting on Saturday (never coming out, feel terrible etc.) and the next day I had my baby boy safely in my arms.
Anyway- rambling when I am supposed to be getting dressed- just wanted to check in and I will read up and post more later!
