About to be New mom!

Hi I am due September 18 but she is so big they are saying she should come anyday now. With my luck though she will go overdue. Anyways we have (well I have) decided on her name as being Elaney Joleah. My fiencee really wanted a boy & would only give me boy names so I had to pick something when we found out it was a girl. Anyways wish us luck we think we know what we are in for? By the way any tricks to getting rid of the streach marks??

Hi welcome to the club! No idea what to do about stretch marks except let them fade after baby is born.

Welcome! The stretch marks will fade from red to purple to silvery-white and then you won't be able to see them. If you are really concerned you could see a dermatologist about them, but I don't think any cream you can get in a store would do anything.

Your baby's name is very lovely.

Where are you? Is this a first baby for you both? Are you planning on breastfeeding her? How did you find Mothering.com?

Welcome!!

I just ignore my stretch marks, they fade after awhile and aren't as noticable.

wish I had some ideas about those stretch marks - I have so many that my DS calls my tummy "tiger-colored." Hm. Almost sweet, almost funny. Just a wee bit grumpy-making.

Welcome to the group! It should be a fun ride...
