1st prenatal appointment? when? - Page 2

I see mine on Sept 29 and I will be aroound 9wks.

I'm not quite sure when I'll see my midwife (homebirth). Maybe around 8-10 weeks. I don't have any problem making an appt with her and the worst that happens is I get to the appt a few minutes before her and have to visit with the cool mw apprentice. That's one of my favorite parts about not seeing a doctor, no sitting in a waiting room filled with pg magazines with formula ads popping out everywhere! :LOL

mamabeakley- neither of my kids liked the doppler either. They always moved away from it. I admit that I'm anxious to hear a heartbeat though. I won't be having an u/s this time around though. With dd I had one at 20 weeks and one at 28 weeks when I didn't feel her move for a few hours and then the nurse couldn't pick up her heartbeat with the doppler. With ds I had one at 8 weeks and one at 19 weeks. They definitely overdo it IMO since I'm not high risk or anything.

Well turned out the appt I went to yesterday was just a consult LOL.. Im a doofus (I shaved my legs and everything for the appt) anyways, she set me up for the 26th for the actual 1st prenatal visit and I will be 7 weeks 5 days at that appt

I am seeing a MW in October - I'll be around 10-11 weeks so I can hear the heartbeat.

i was around 13 weeks. I didnt want to go before then, but I was very afraid the MW was gong to be ticked!! She said she wasnt, as i want having any genetic screening done or any intervention, and I had reacently had a PAP done, so i was good to go. I didnt want to go so early, m/c and be totally upset because i had heard/seen the babe ect....
I know alot of people were upset with me waiting that long, but it felt right to me.

Scheduled my inital prenatal appointment with my current OB-gyn at 13 weeks (Nov. 1). We'll be moving in the spring so, I'm trying to interview midwives in Wisconsin for the 2nd and third trrimesters and ultimately the actual birth.

Well, I had my 3rd beta yesterday (9/6-439, 9/9-1616, 9/12-5516), and everything looks good. So, my 1st u/s is scheduled for next Friday (9/23). I'll be 6w6d. I'll go in about 2 weeks later for another one, before they'll release me.

I already called my internal medicine dr (PCM) and left a message to get an appt. So, that I can get my referral to an OB. I hate our insurance. Such a pain in the butt, and the options for who I can see suck.

With my DS, my first appointment was at 16 weeks. I guess I should call and get the initial b/w done, eh? Ah, eventually. My doctor was on vacation last week,so I opted to wait.
I think I will be going to see the midwife (hopefully!) around 13 weeks.

My 1st is Oct. 4th, I'll be around 13 weeks, or 12 or something. I don't have time to keep track like some of you do! I don't see any need to go earlier. Since I'm not telling anyone yet, there's nobody to get mad that I'm waiting.

i have my 1st appt in a week, and i'll be 6 wks. it's just a consultation, but she said if we wanted we could go ahead and set up my chart then, too. don't know whether we will or not, b/c the deposit will be due if we do, but then again, it's about an hour's drive, so we might just go for it! woo-hoo, i'm so excited!
