what is the difference between sealants, crowns, etc. . . .
I have a feeling I am going ot have to know soon.
My youngest has a significant amount of decay. I forget when we noticed it, shortly after her little teeth popped through. I took a lot of antibiotics while pregnant (it was like I had no immune system) i was taking antibiotics while I concieved. My bodty was weak and drained from sickness (2 week battle with influenza A that I should have been hospitalized for and then the 3rd week, before I was quite healed, I got strep and had to be on antibiotics for that. Somehow I managed to get pregnant on that cycle. I don't recal having sex but whatever. I don't recall a lot of things thise three weeks :LOL) So that was round one. round 2 was after my first prenantal when they discovered bacterial vaginosis. the topical antibiotics didn't work so we tried oral, didn't work so we gave up promisingto revisit in the third trimester or when symptoms drove me crazy. then I had two UTI/Bladder/kindey infections within 8 weeeks that hospitalized me and triggered strong contractions. had to be treated quickly. then since all signs were pointing towards preterm labor we decided the BV had to be delt with since it can cause preterm labor.
we only tried once though and gave up. we decided we just couldn't continue with antibiotics and preterm labor just wasn't that bad. She did come a we bit early but was hunky dorey. and then the thrush started
which ended with a raging case of mastitis and more antibiotics (and of course more thrush). So around that time is when I noticed her little toothers had brown stuff. and that it wasn't just plaque.
I am hesitant to take her to the dentist. they are lways so quick to load up the mouth with chemicals. floride this and floride that. caps, sealants, I have no idea what any of this stuff is (did I mention no dental insurance?). So if someone could help me out with a list of terms what they mean and if they are toxic or direct me to a web page I would greatly appreciate it.
