My grandma made a small table for my daughter and I want to paint it, I need some ideas

We painted dd's white- I'm boring. But when she drew on the top with permanent marker, I covered the top with a piece of oilcloth, that is pretty and wipes clean easily. I always wanted to paint it in the style of Mary Englebright though.

You could decoupage it with some cute pictures from magazines or prints from a kids' book.
