I thought it would be a fun thing to do from the beginning. I will be happy to be first on the list. I think it would be great if we could put it in our sig line where you click on each Mamas link and see how we are growing then we could update each month or have it in a slideshow format.. Could someone tell me the http lingo since my preggo brain has kicked in to where you put here is me at 6wks instead of having a whole line of junk and then you can click from there. I swear I used to know how but am a little out of practice. Let me know and I will edit with a belly picture. Anyone else with suggestions please add so we could make it kind of fun thing and also to have a way to remember.

I'd love to! I was already thinking that I needed to get some pics, before I get too big. My fat pants are already too snug to be comfy. I've been relegated to my sweats and drawstring skirts. :LOL To put a link in your sig or a post you click on the little earth with what looks like an infinity sign above the text box that you type in. It's underneath the size selector for the text. The first question it asks you is the text you want it to show. So, you type in "watch my belly grow" or whatever you want and click ok or press enter. Then the second thing it asks you is for the hyperlink (ie. http://www.mybelly.com ) HTH. I'll get some up in the next few days!

If you put up an album on yahoo, you can link to the front page of the album with one hyperlink. Then, on yahoo people can select slideshow or view them individually. HTH

I'll try to get mine up this weekend. Although, I've already put on some weight, and my stomache is riddled with the stretch mards left from ds.

Looks like Im not the only one using a mirror(LOL)

BTW... I figured I would take the pics in my new Gap lowrise maternity jeans since there isnt a chance that I will be wearing my regular jeans for much longer.

Uh, yeah, if I had flat bellies like you guys I'd do it...but as is, I could pass for 6 mos pregnant right now (and I'm not just kidding either!)

Ooooh, I wanna do this! But I'm still a relative newbie to the techno age. Do I need a digital camera or can I just use a picture CD? DH and I just took some pics on our camera but we haven't been to get them developed yet. Do I just put those pictures in the photo album on my PC then set the link up from there?

love, me

8 weeks before I was due, some people didn't realize I was pregnant, just *really* fat.

Just as an aside to this thread. The most beautiful photos of a pregnant woman that I have ever seen were of a friend of mine who is extremely (!) BBW. The pics were full body poses, reclining nude with her long hair streaming about her. I think she was about 36 weeks pregnant at the time. I was so blown away by the sheer beauty. Her abundant form and her belly flowed together in such an amazing, Goddess like way.

Anyway she posted some pictures in her blog (She blogs in a blog community) and had many many letters of feedback from women who were inspired. Then she had one sizist comment. This comment then inspired a huge backlash against that idiot poster and the whole situation ended on such an amazing, empowered positive note.

There is this image of the pregnant woman as looking like one of those TV pregnant ladies, you know, scrawny all over with a little bump, and it makes me sad when mamas I know feel bad for their bodies' wonderful roundess during pregnancy. I have ordered clothes from one catalogue in particular that embodies this innacurate portrayal of the pregnant woman. The size larges, hardly fit my small sized friend, much less me. It is frustration and pointless. We are in the childbearing season, and in my opinion abundance is to be celebrated.

For our sisters here who feel uncomfortable posting belly pics, I can see where you are coming from, living in this messed up culture that we live in. I wish we could put a piece of art as a cover page for our thread. I would pick a piece of ancient art depicting a true maternal image. I hate that our culture is not in line with what. I hope that over time you may become more comfortable with sharing - if that is what you desire to do

OK end of my sermon :LOL
