Do I need a sterile bulb syringe or one from the store will do?

In my supply list to get is a bulb syringe. I am wondering if you got a sterile one or just a regular one from the store? The sterile ones kind of freak me out because they are sterilized with Ethylene Oxide which is some nasty stuff.
I think I could get a sterilized one from my midwife but did anybody else feel weird using something sterilized with a chemical known to cause birth defects and cancer? I guess I am over paranoid for sure.

The medical bulbs are so great, though. The store bought ones don't even work, there's not enough suction. If you were freaked about the chemicals, you could wash it ans boil it right before you need it.

The one I got in my birth kit looks just like the ones at the store.... and it wasn't wrapped, so it wasn't sterile. We didn't even use it FWIW.
