29 wk mw visit update, Sam's 1st day of school and more

First, I am so sorry i have not been able to post this week. it has been just crazy at work, and since I don't have any privacy in the new space, my ability to do this is very limited.

That being said...
Yesterday we saw the MW. It went great. Everything is groovy in baby land. I'm supposed to watch my carb intake because of my weight gain, but I'd been doing that kind of instinctively anyway, so that is fine. baby is currently transverse, but we're not concerned now. It is moving fine, has a nice heartbeat and is just a cool, mellow kid so far! I'm measuring about 28.5 weeks so that is right on target, too. I am definitely thinking a bit about helping the bub turn head down, just in case I do go earlier rather than later, but it is still a bit early. We're going to move to every other week visits now, so I'll see her again in two weeks.

And today was Sam's first day of school which was ok. He did have a major bed wetting accident last night (he was too excited) and I think was kind of let down because today was really just filling out paperwork and stuff like that. But I'm super excited for him - the class is going to be taught bilingually, which is great, and the teachers seem really nice and he already made friends with another boy, so I'm happy. I was going to go with him on Monday for his first whole day, but DH and I agreed that is probably not the best idea since having me around is something that is so special for him that it is kind of a distraction, and we don't want to set the precedent etc etc. So that will be ok. I'm just looking forward to getting home to him tonight!

So, that's it for now...Hope everyone has a lovely weekend. It is supposed to gt hot here again...yuck...

Hey, nice to hear from you

HOw's the office situation working out? I hope it's tolerable.

Yay about the midwife and all being routine with the babe! I have also begun to think about positioning- I slouch on the couch pretty much ALL the time. I do try to sit on my birth ball also, but it isn't as comfortable for long periods. And, of course, since the mw's won't FEEL around to guess which position the baby is in, I really have no idea.

Sam's school sounds great. Is it preschool? So will this give your dh a break a few days a week? I hope he loves it! Cute how excited he was!

eta: Ugh, I really hope it isn't going to get hot here, too (You're in NY, right?) I have just recently been able to walk and be outside without feeling like death warmed over.

Mary
