My hubby and I disagree on the merit/lack of merit of Neil Diamond's music. Please elaborate on how you feel about it and why. Thank you.

I'm a big fan and I'm proud.

Nothing cheers you up like singing along to "Sweet Caroline."

Love him. I have his cd box set. I am openly dorky, however. Cherry Baby! Woo hoo!

I like Neil Diamond's music quite a bit. It drives DH nuts, though. I cue it up on the iPod in the car every now and again to drive him nuts. :LOL

HIs songs are semi catchy but I neither dislike or like him, so I pick other.

Another good option would have been, "Who?" as I imagine there are quite a few young'uns who have no idea who he is.

He IS the king of dorkness, but the music isn't horrible.

I don't have any albums or anything, but I definitely sing along when I hear him on the radio.

You know... when I accidentally change the station to "Light favorites of yesterday and today"! :LOL

I love him in spite of myself. A while back I was in my friends car and he put on the greatest hits CD. We belted out ever tune... both of us new almost every word. It was shameful and fun.

: I love it when dh gets in the car, turns the ignition on and that station is blasting. He'll say something like, "Nice music, grandma." :nana:

I'm not familiar enough with him to have an opinion.
Don't love him, don't hate him either.

My addition to the conversation:

Did anyone see the movie Saving Silverman?
It's an odd film, with good moments.
But if you're a Diamond fan, you should see it.

Yes, I liked the movie. Not so much a Diamond fan otherwise though. I wouldn't necessarily change the station if it came on, but I'd never TRY to listen to it.

LOVE him. (and yes, I love Barry Mainlow too) The song Porcupine pie, and song sung blue remind me of my daddy. Iknow what I'm listening to while sewing today!
