the brighter side of tearing/skid marks/burning?

Just thought about this when I was peeing (or trying to) after birth. I didn't tear, but it burned pretty damn BAD down there when urine touched the surface. Well, I'll tell, you I've never had to work so hard to control my flow. Pelvic floor muscles getting back in shape?? :

try pouring some water over yourself while you pee, also drink plenty of fluids to keep your urine from getting too concentrated.

the positive side is that your body knew to give a bit, rather than subjecting you to a deep tear.

Ooooh, yeah, I definitely second the water application while peeing. I ended up having a 3rd degree, and you can bet I never once peed without that peri-bottle going first. I didn't even wipe with toilet paper, I was so freaked out about what happened to my parts. Come to think of it, I didn't even wash myself in the shower. I used the detachable shower head only.

I am REALLY hoping not to tear like that this time.
