HELP! Recommendations for a birthing pool hose.

HELP!

We ordered a birthing pool and supply kit from a midwife supplier and doula back in June. We put off opening the box until 3 weeks ago, but verified that all the supplies were on hand.

Last weekend DH decided to do a "test run" with filling the pool, connect the hose etc. Well....the big issue we have is that the hose comes with the following warning on the inside of the packaging:

Warning: This hose contains chemical(s), including lead, known to the State of California to cause cancer, birth defects and other reproductive harm. Do not drink water from this hose. Wash hands after use.[I]

Uh hello???? The business that provided it agreed to take it back and refund the money for it, but by the time I pay for shipping, I'd have no refund!

Anyway..I'm 10 days from my due date and DH is calling all over Atlanta looking for an FDA approved, poly-something or another type hose to fill the pool with.

Any recommendations??? IF yes, where did you buy it??

I found mine a target - it said drinking water safe. I've heard that people have luck finding them at Walmart with the RV stuff.

You could use a python. They're for filliing and emptying large aquariums. You can get them at any local pet store that sells aquarium equipment. They would be good for both filling and emptying your poolhttp://www.pythonproducts.com/nospill.htm

ETA: This is where we get our supplies for our aquariums. They have good prices and ship within a couple days. http://www.drsfostersmith.com/produc...&N=2004+113164

I think you can also find them at Lowes or Home Depot type stores.

THANK YOU!!!

I just got back from my blessing way to find your responses. Now I feel ready to have this baby.

Thank you so much. You just lifted so much weight off of DH's shoulders and mine.

I just posted about this about 2 weeks ago!

We ended up getting a hose for fridges and ice makers. And a connector for the sink. It was pretty cheap. Also since we are on the subject, check all floaties for pools (the rings and toys kids sit in) some have the same warning on them!
