OK, I can not read that whole Oil cleansing thread so can youjust answer my ??

I started reading it and it seems everyone is using something different. What you recommend starting with? I have blackheads on my nose and chin and break out about 2-3 pimples a week, I have dry patches along my hairline and on my nose and forehead that flake and scale no matter how little or how much I exfoliate or moisturize. That seems to be related to stress not skincare per say. So what opils and what mix should I start with?

So from what I understand and please correct me where I'm wrong...

Massage oil mixture (what oils??) on to face for 2+minutes, especially the problem areas.

Steam face by draping hot wet cloth over face and leave until cloth cools, repeat a few times

Remove all oil by wiping with cloth, and rinsing cloth well in between wipes, using hot water.

One may or may not choose to use a toner, like witchhazel, or a gentle soap afterwards to ensure the oils are removed.

One may or may not choose to moisturize afterwards with a moisturizer or small amount of oil massaged into the skin.

Yup, thats the gist of it. I believe the main recipe is for Extra Virgin Olive Oil and Castor Oil, 50/50. I don't always get a chance to steam my face with a cloth, but I shoot for at least a couple times a week. So far so good. HTH

I bought TTO oil stick by Desert Essence at Trader Joes that works great on trouble spots.

I just started this too and do what you outlined. I am currently using 50/50 EVOO and CO (most common), but once I am practiced, may try other things. Apricot oil seems to be a fav too. Good luck.
