I did it today..well actually my 11year old daughter did it...it came out great and now I just have to let it set for a couple days and paint it. Any suggestions as to how I should decorate it?

This baby was concieved on the full moon so there will be a moon theme on it. Maybe her birth month flowers...if I can figure out what October flower is...anyone know?

Any other suggestions?

I found this cool link:
Birth Month Flowers

Says October's flower is Calendula, there's a picture on the sight too.

The kit I got cost $65...but I think you could get it much cheaper...I have been looking for the plaster tape online but can't find a supplier...I am going to look into a health supply store, a friend of mine manages one...it's the same plaster tape they use for casts on broken limbs...

I am curious as to the actual cost...3 rolls of plaster tape and a small bottle of vaseline is all you really need. no way it's $65! My kit also contained candles, soap and a scrubbie for washing off after and of course the instructions...it was nicely packaged but seriously, $65, no way!

Belly Cast kits

They are $35 with free shipping here:

I love this site because it shows a bunch of finished products and gives instructions on how to make it and decorate it!

That is so cool! But seriously...what do you do with those anyway? Like, hang them over the mantle? lol My husband would probably be horrified if i made something that big to clutter the house more :P How would you display, or store it?

If I ever finish the one from my first son I plan to hang it in our bedroom (I have all the stuff, I just have to do it). That's where we put our pregnancy pictures too. And then if I do the second one we'll put that up in the bedroom too. We have pretty big walls (high ceilings) so they will make pretty cool abstract art up high.

Yep...it's going in the bedroom.

Ryvrewillow, I saw on MTV cribs that Pam Anderson had hers hanging up in either her bedroom, bathroom, or the kid's room. :P But yea, we don't all have houses THAT big with that much space! :P

If I made one, it'd go up in the bedroom. I see nothing wrong with it going up in the living room or anywhere else in the house it would fit.
