household cleaner recipes

I've been wanting to put together a comprehensive list of homemade household cleaners for a while, and I thought this might be a good place to ask for recipes. Let's make a reference page!

What are some basic (earth-friendly, nontoxic) cleaners you make yourself? I'm thinking kitchen and bathroom are the highest "need" rooms. But also wooden floors, linoleum, windows, counters, carpets, tubs, laundry, dishes. And problem areas like mold, clogged toilets, pet accidents, wine on the rug. . . . What's worked best for you?

Vinegar and Water (50:50) is my all time favorite all-purpose cleaner; floors, windows, counters, sinks, tub, toilet, EC misses....pretty much everything here. Baking Soda is a great scrubber for the tub and kitchen stuffs or whatnot...salt is a more abrasive version of the same...HTH

Yup, works well. If scrubbing/mopping and you like a nice scent - add a few drops of your favorite essential oil to the mop water solution.

I am very new to this concept. Please tell me more. What are your fav oils? Where do u buy them?

My favorite oils for cleaning are tea tree and lavender for their antiseptic, antibacterial properties, not to mention that wonderful smell! And they are really nice mixed together. I've been buying my oils at Wild Oats, but I know there has to be a better, cheaper place to get it (in bigger quantities) that is supporting some mama's home business or something. Any info., links, anyone?
