Anyone read this?
The Tuth Behind the Mommy Wars: Who Decides What Makes a Good Mother?
by Miriam Peskowitz ?
Full disclosure: she was a professor of mine in college, and I think she's absolutely brilliant.
This is the first book I've read on the subject that actually talks about class and minorities and how all that influences how and why women parent the way they do, and not just talk about upper-class white women with nannies. Highly recommended.
