My Life Without Me

Watched this movie last night...

Now, I'm not a cryer... I mean I *never* cry... least of all at movies... I think the last movie I cried at was Kramer Vs. Kramer... I was 11 and my parents were in the middle of a divorce...

I went through half a box of kleenex watching this movie... all about a young mom diagnosed with cancer. SO MOVING!

Makes you think about mortality and how our children are really ALL that matters in life.

Anyone else seen it? It's on HBO on demand this month.

hmm is it a newer one? I don't watch many movies, and we don't have cable so I haven't seen it. Anybody good in it?

i saw it and i totally cried. and i felt sad for days thinking about what i would do in that situation.. a great movie but probably not a good one to watch if you are pregnant!

Let's see... Mark Ruffalo is in it and Debbie Harry plays the lead woman's mom (I couldn't believe it was her LOL)... that's all I knew and I don't remember the credits LOL.

I didn't look to see when this came out, but it's on HBO on demand, so probably sometime in the last year or so??

We rented it last year around this time, and I lost it too - I think it's the mum thing to do. It's with Sarah Polley, who's usually excellent, about a young mother who's terminally ill.

But my dh, who's usually a softy, just thought it was laughably corny. His favourite part was when I was bawling my eyes out as a character was telling this story about having cared for these congenital twins (I think that was it) in the hospital - he pointed out afterwards that it was completely impossible that there have been a boy twin and a girl twin, because all congenital twins are identical...

LOLOLOLOL I caught that too... you can't have conjoined twins that are boy girl LOLOL... That kind of ticked me off that they'd be so sloppy.

Despite the screwup, I thought it was a great movie too! Mark Ruffalo...YUM! And her hubby was Scott Speedman.

Probably the most emotionally devastating movie I have ever seen. Sarah Polley was excellent in it.
