writing a letter - need a bit of research help

Hi mamas,

I am in the midst of writing a letter to Viva (British vegetarian activism group) about their veggie mother & baby nutrition pamphlet giving so much space to formula feeding. If you have time for criticism and feedback, you can read the whole letter in my blog.

But the thing I'm still really needing is a source and statistic/estimate of the % of women who physically can't breastfeed. Any ideas on where I can find (and cite) such information?

That's a great letter! Just the right length and to the point. Well-written and not ramblely (is that a word??).

I don't have a ref. for the info you need, but I'm sure someone else here does.

Hope you get a good response! Let us know if you do!

CrunchyMamaToBe, that's a great letter. Very well written. I bet if you contacted LLL they would have the statistic you are looking for. The forum on their website is moderated by Henci Goer ( ) - a fantastic medical research analyst and normal birth advocate! She would be able to tell you the statistic or direct you to a good source.

Blessings,
Aron
