the drain in our bathroom has become very slow to let water out of. When I take a shower I end up with inches of water pooling around my feet. Is there anything I can put down the drain that is natural that will help it speed up?

You can take some baking soda and dump that in the drain then pour a cup or two of vinegar down the drain. Follow up with very hot water and let it run for a bit.
Or you can try to get the hair out of the drain with your fingers or tweezers
if that's the problem.
There are also pressurized air in a can systems for clearing drains but I haven't tried those for tubs... There are also high pressure water nozzles for blasting out clogs. Both are sort of hard to use unless you plug the overflow...

I second the baking soda and vinegar! It does WONDERS
I just had this problem the other day, as I do many times! I usually clean the drain first, or have dh do it. Then I dump the bs and vinegar down the drain w/ it open. It seems to work better than when I close it back up.
One preventitive thing we use to do and worked was clean the drain w/ bs and vinegar 1 time a week. We should probably do that again

We used to have this exact same problem.DH used a shop vac, a.k.a. a wet/dry vac to vacuum out all the gunk that was clogging it up and slowing it. Worked like a charm and no problems since.

Dump a liter of coke down there (the drink, not the drug). It's amazingly scary how well it works.

We used to have this problem bad. We tried the vinegar/bs which didn't do anything. We tried the liquid plumber stuff which didn't do anything. We tried the crystal drano which didn't do anything. Dh ended up pulling the plug which showering, then grabbing the toilet plunger and using that a couple of times after he was done showering. IT'd get better for a few days and then go bad again, but after the 5th or 6th time(he'd do it once a week) it pushed whatever was in the way out and we haven't had a problem in 1 1/2years.

A trick my old maintenance guy at my last apartment taught me was to take an old wire hanger, untwist the top hanger part and bend to make a straight-ish length of wire, then insert into the drain and twirl several times. Yank it out and it should bring a bunch of hair out, especially if you or anyone else using the shower has long-ish hair. Apart from that I can also attest to the wonders of BS and vinegar, for clearing drains and also for making stinky sinks smell better-take a cup of BS and pour it down followed by 1-2 cups of vinegar. Wait a bit and chase it down with a pot of boiling water. Usually does the job!
