Gocco printing

I'm looking for experience with Gocco printing. I'm probably going to buy one this week. I was wondering how successful people are at printing text. I'm contemplating using it to make wedding invites. I just discovered that my desktop printer just isn't going to be able to handle the design I have in mind.

SAK (sleeping at keyboard...!)

It's widely used in the bookbinding community for this.

you might need to experiment a bit to get used to everything

Wow, I actually got a response on this one.

I went ahead and ordered one. The gocco printer should be arriving via fedex today. I'm very excited. I wish I had been able to find one locally but I'm new to the city and all the places I checked don't stock them.

I have gotten to use one briefly. We experimented with one for printing designs as the 'extra' thing we did at the end of a calligraphy class. But I haven't done text.

Thanks for the info. Hopefully by the end of the weekend I'll be able to write a glowing testimonial.

I've been hankering after one for awhile.

images and text can look really cool. in general gocco is pretty cool. there's a store that sells them in the city I used to live in. I messed around with one in a bookbinding course when I was taking classes with the Canadian Bookbinders' and Book Artists' Guild.

have fun!

The Gocco printer is the best craft toy ever!!!!!

I've got beautiful invitations with crisp white with the slightest hint of pink lettering on dark brown paper. We have matching response cards, maps, and even addressed the response card envelopes.
