In the past week I have had three interactions with very mainstream seeming mamas that surprised me - in a good way

With the first I was visiting an old friend who is staying with a family I have never met. They seem pretty mainstream (my friend is). Anyway through the conversation it came up that her two kids (6 and 3) cosleep and that the 3 yr old just weaned!
Then I had a visit from a friend I went to highschool with. We hadn't seen each other in 10 yrs - but because our daughters were born at the same time we decided to get together. While she was here she told me (in a slightly embarrased way) that her and her daughter co-sleep and would prefer to share a bed. I told her how cool it was, so then she told me her dd had also just recently weaned
The third was at dd's preschool. On the first day their were 4 mama's with babes from 12 weeks - 14 mos there. 10 minutes into it all the babes were nursing and 2 of the older kids went over to their mums to tandem.
All these lovely experiences made me wonder if there is a quiet underground of extended nursing in my province!
