ok, and when you gave birth, how strongly influenced were you by celebrities of your youth and their choices, if you even knew what they were?

you are right about that! I had to have c/sections for both my pregnancies. It took a long time to get over the grief of not being able to have a vag. delivery. But the physical recovery is much longer. I still have no feeling on the left side of my scar. Voluntary cutting of muscle tissues? I don't get it. Apparently this is becoming a trend :

Britney Spears, a has-been? When was the last time you had a conversation with a large group of elementary school aged girls? Because believe me, she is not a has-been to them.

And I don't think a young girl would have to be obsessed with the way a celeb gave birth to be affected by it. It's all about creating societal norms, and a celeb of this size is definitely involved in that.

oh, i 'get it'-it couldn't be more simplistic really. i also get that there are about a million things more productive to make the world better for mamas and babies then coming to a message board to rip apart a total stranger who has just had a baby. and if "tartlet" and "uneducated moron" who "should be muzzled" blah blah blah isn't you being viscious, well then ain't you just a peach?

perhaps after a good night's rest and a healed sinus headache, you will be able to be kind and gracious about the brand new mom and baby in the world. or maybe find someone you actually know to be so concerned about.

peace.

She had a boy?

Just one?

Why did I think she was having twins????

Wasn't the news reporting she was pregnant with twins???

Poor kid.

Poor Britney (she married SUCH a knucklehead.)

I feel sorry for any kid that calls that man "dad."

There... I probably killed this thread

Should we try to make it mandatory that all women in the public eye must be educated to LuckyMama's truth before reproducing

I'll just give a that to mamajama and mamag. Brittany's body, Brittany's choice. We have no idea what her circumstances are and its not our business anyway.

Sure, its awesome to see a celeb. choose natural childbirth, babywearing, bfing etc... However, its not their duty to make personal choices based on being a good role model. Teach your own children well and be kind to others. Quit wasting your energy bashing Britney.

well. Frankly, I am glad that it is open season on mothers. and here is why. I find each and every one of you to be monsters. That's right. I am so perfect in everyway that to me, each of you is deserving of a custom fit muzzle and a long call to CPS.

I conceive all my children in the woods under the full moon. Birth in a bed of roses while softely call to the spirits of the earth to bless my children. I nurse on demand until 10 years old and feed them only organic food AFTER nursing so as to not affect my supply. Of course they are all intact, in fact I also keep all the skin flakes from their genitals to give to them when they are older. I use only organic cloth diapers covered with sheep's wool from the organic sheep in my backyard. I homeschool all of them (I have a PhD in education), never lose my temper, and I am a SAHM that also makes $85,000 a year (just by being so good looking). They are not vaccinated, instead I contract the diseases myself and incabate the germs and then feed them to them in their oatmeal (which of course in grown in the backyard).

so, you see, from my point of view: Monsters.

how about this:

don't judge others because you don't know their suffering

basic Buddhist wisdom that I have been working on in my own life.
