The U.S? Huh? Really, you need to do some reading, for example about the c-section rates brazil has

According to Access Hollywood

Well THAT is good news at least.

Yes, Brazil has a near 90-100% caesarean section rate since they are lead to believe that a vaginal, normal birth would ruin them forever.

Just wondering why some people believe what the media has to say about celebrity births but not about national events - if they spin one for more readers then why not both?

Brazil sounds like a pretty scary place considering...I had no idea about that one.

Wow. Didn't know that.

ETA: I just did a search on c-section rates in Brazil and found some interesting info. I know this is taking the thread a little OT, but thought someone might be interested.

It's only those who deliver in private hospitals who have a 80-90% c-section rate. That's the wealthy. The rate amongst those who deliver through the public health care system is lower, so the overall rate for the country is something like 36%. Anyway, I found it interesting, if anyone else wants to take a look.

Personally, I'll do a lot to avoid having another c-section myself, not that it was through choice. Recovery was not fun.
