Oksya, welcome to MDC. Here is a link you might find helpful at starting your journey to understanding why a natural childbirth - whenever possible - is preferable to a cesarean section.

I also highly recommend you start reading the book, "The Thinking Woman's Guide to a Better Birth", by Henci Goer
. In it you will find the latest research on everything about birth, from positions during labor to episiotomies to epidurals and so on. It provides terrific information on pros/cons of everything, and lays out the case for why allowing nature to take its course is almost always better. This is a great first book to read, and of all the books I read preaparing for a natural med-free VBAC this was my favorite (and the only one my husband read).
Good luck in your journey.
