How can I help??

On Saturday I went with a friend to a maternity fair at a local hospital..My friend is PG and we're TTC..We stopped at a table there to register to win a Pump in Style..While we were registering my friend commented how many people were passing by the table without even stopping to look..Meaning they were probably not gonna BF or why WOULDN'T they want a free $350 pump??

When we took the tour of the maternity ward the tour guide asked how many of us planned on bf'ing..We were the only ones who raised our hands out of a fairly large group..

I commented to DH tht I refused to register for a prize at one OB/GYN table b/c I didn't approve of their prize (a huge supply of huggies and disposable dipes) and he asked "What, was it? Formula??" and I went bonkers and started ranting about how I'd have FLIPPED if they had been giving away formula..

I'm become militant, ladies!!! What do I do with this pent up desire to see women BF? I've helped a couple women at my church get through tough bf'ing moments and keep going..

But what can I do to help women understand the bf'ing is best? It's good and RIGHT for your child?? I've thought about becoming a lactaction consultant but I just don't have the time with little ones..How about a CLE? Where could I train..No training sessions are held near here since we're in the south..

Any help would be appreciated..

Nurse In Public

You can be an everyday lactivist by nursing in public.

You can go to LaLecheLeague meetings.

You can organize a Nurse Out (even if you're not currently BF'ing).

You can speak up at every opportunity about how great/easy/convenient BF'ing is.

You can correct any misinformaiton the the Dr.'s spew.

You can hand out nice little cards to anyone you see nursing.

You can join a mommy group in your area.

Atta Girl. We need more girls with your spark who are willing to fan the flames.
