Just a Rant

I normally lurk but had to ask for opinions.
I have an infected tooth that will be pulled tomorrow morning. I am just so fed up with the decay in my teeth that I told my husband that I want them all pulled and go toothless for awhile til I can afford dentures.
My dh company doesnt offer dental insurance(neither does mine, I work at nite and part time only, cant go full) and we are basically self-pay.
Is it worth it to have them all pulled,? Im already out 4 teeth, I dont drink soda and eat a good diet. Altho we could maybe afford payments I would be hesitant because what if one of us lost our job?
It just seems cheaper to have them all pulled at once, then to deal with root canals, etc.. I dont know LoL! just ranting!

Thanx for listening

Barb, did I read it right, are you considering having *all* of your teeth pulled? My goodness! I hope you don't need to do that. I wish I had some advice for you but I don't know anything about all of this stuff & feel lost in directing my own dental treatment. s

I had 6 permanent teeth and 4 erupted wisdom teeth pulled at once to the tune of $1500... and that was 3 years ago with only local anesthetic (lidocaine I think). Nitrous oxide, oral sedation and/or general anesthetic would really run up the price. Don't get me wrong... I didn't go with only the local to save money... I was in the first trimester of my 3rd pregnancy when I had it done, so nitrous wasn't an option, and I react badly to general.
