Gwenth Paltrow's comments on red carpet

On a positive note.....

I saw an interview with Gwenth on the red carpet where she was asked to give advice to other celebrity moms about losing the post baby weight.

She said something about how most of it really didn't come off until she finished breastfeeding. Which she added that she breastfed "way past a year" and she was comfortable with the weight just slowly coming off slowly over that time period.

I also saw her on, I think it was Oprah, and when Oprah told her she looked so good (this was when Apple was only a few months old) Gwenyth explained that she was wearing a girdle

Now I know she probably looked better five minutes after giving birth than I looked on my wedding day, but I still have to think that was pretty cool.

Yeah, I saw that part of ET too, and I was confused by her 'way past a year' statement. Her actual statement was something like, 'I couldn't get back into shape until I quit bf'ing which was well after she was a year old'.

Apple was born on the same exact day as my ds2, May 14, 2004, which means they both turned 16 months old yesterday. I guess her definition of 'well over a year' and my defintion differ somewhat. I still wouldn't consider my 16 month old to be well over a year old, but anywho, congrats to Gyneth, anything over a year is great in my book!

Truthfully I really don't normally care anymore about what all tha fantastic celebs are doing in the world anymore than I care what anyone else is doing, but I did read a quick bit about how Gwenyth was hesitant to go back to work after Apple was born because she wanted to be with her. The bit was spun to make it look like she was weirdo or something because of it-- but it struck me and I was glad she had the courage to say it. Beyond that I know nothing.......
