Washington has annual testing or evaluation by a cert. teacher for Hsers between the ages of 8 and 18. There are tests you can administer yourself, and the parent keeps the results- they aren't sent anywhere.

You must also file an annual letter of intent to homeschool with the superintendant of your school district- this is just a piece of paper with your kids' names and ages on it.

Michigan requires no tests or evaluations.
