Library Card Question

Thread Starter
We recently moved, and want to get new library cards (in the meantime, I can use my old one, since we're in the same county.) To give me a card, they need a current utility bill, and for the kids, they want something from the school.

Um, we don't have anything from the school! They currently attend private school and get district bussing- but we never got any "official" paperwork from the school district that "proves" my kids live here.

How would a homeschooler get a library card if the library wants something from the school?

I told them we were homeschoolers and I had no "proof ". I had my hslda card with me , my Border's teacher card , my Foozle's teacher card and three very well behaved children. lol

Our library doesn't ask for anything like that. All they want is proof of address and a parental/guardian signature of approval for the kids' cards.

That's the same for us.

How strange about the school thing. Can't imagine what that's about.

My DS has his own card, he's 3. Just our basic info (name, addy, phone #) was required.
