Just thought I'd do a rollcall. I know I hate all of those, "have you had your baby yet?" questions, but I figured since I'm still pregnant over here...misery loves company!

Who else?

I'm still here. Unfortunately. :LOL I still have very strong feelings about this weekend, but I had the same strong feelings that I was having a girl, and well, that didn't happen either.

I had an internal this morning at my MW appt., and I'm 2cm/30%/-2 - not that it means much, but at least I'm not closed like she was expecting!

That would be me.

I'm feeling some heaviness feelings, but it could still be a week or more. : And if just ONE person asks me if I've 'popped' yet, I just might smack 'em!

Oh, that's nice progress Lacie. Last I got checked (Wednesday) I was 1 cm., 25% effaced. I do have a feeling that all of these contractions have been working on opening/effacing since then, though, so I'll be curious to see what my mw has to say on Monday (if I decide to do the internal again...depends on how I'm feeling about it at the time!)

I'm still here! Not that my due date has pasted yet or anything, but its still getting frustrating with the same people calling everyday AND my mom to see if I had the baby, or if I "look like I'm going into labor soon" : What does that mean???? I'm sitting at 3cm and 70% effaced, didn't have that last time, so its a little exciting to know I suppose. I was 1cm when I went into labor last time, and had a short labor, so maybe this one will be even shorter. Thats the only thing that is keeping me calm really, is the thought that I'm doing the work, before labor, so that its quicker and I see my babe sooner!!

Still here, hoping for the full moon to have some effect. Been having contractions every 3 to 7 minutes since Friday around 3pm. When I sit they stop. Not very strong, some are, but they are low down. I think it will happen in the next 24 hrs. Sleeping is a chore. I sleep so much during the day that at night I end up waking around 3 or 4, I just got off the phone with SIL in Europe, b/c who else can I call at 4am? Guess I should get used to hrs so when baby wakes me every 2 hrs, I'll be used to it.

I posted this on another thread, but I thought I'd share it again anyway :LOL ... when I was pregnant with dd, dh & I changed the outgoing message on our answering machine to, "Hi, it's Sunday, December such & such, and still waiting for baby...blah blah lv. a message.." It worked like a charm.

I had a ton of syblings/family/friends in Maine and Virginia and beyond calling on a regular basis. They got so anxious that rumors even started, and I got extra calls saying, "so-and-so told me you had the baby. Why didn't you call me?" And I'd have to clear it all up. I went to 41 weeks with dd, so was pretty frustrated with it all!
This time, I've only gotten a few calls from afar... mostly to do with the hurricane that just went through my area.

I am still here....due tomorrow and I never thought I would still be pregnant right now. I even yelled at dh last night (feel bad about it now.) when he asked me when that baby is going to be born. I am very cranky about it right now.

Yesterday I washed all my walls, cabinets, microwave, refrigerator, swept, vaccumed, cleaned the bathroom all in the hopes that it would help jumpstart labor - no such luck!!!

I'm here too. Very tired, and also tired of contractions. My mw checked me but I made her not tell me the "numbers" because I didn't want to be anxious about it, and now I'm really glad I did. I have no idea if it'll be weeks or what...we will have to make some interesting decisions if I go past 41 weeks because I'm a VBAC, but I feel good about what we've talked about, probably switching to another midwife for a homebirth after my EDD. Long story but it gives me some peace that I don't have a "deadline" hanging over my head.

Take care and I hope everybody can make the best of the weekend. I'm planning lots of walking and at least some fun prostaglandin action

I'm still here. My due date is Tuesday (9/20) but I really thought she'd be here by now.

I'm going to walk a lot this weekend and hope she decides to come. If no ctx by Sunday night. I may whip out the double breast pump after my MW appt Wednesday.....

I"m not good at this patience stuff.

BennyPai...I'm going to change my answering machine message. Good idea! That way if I don't feel like talking, people get the info they called for anyway.

You know, scrolling down, I think I'm the only "first timer" left (at least out of those who posted in this thread). This means that all of you guys may go before me...oh no! Everyone keeps saying "don't expect to go on time with your first one."

Oh, and Beth...I wish I could enjoy the "prostaglandin action" but I'm just so dead tired and uncomfortable I have no energy (or creativity) for anything. If I'm still pregnant tomorrow though, I'm going to have to kick it into high gear. :LOL

You know, I'm sure part of it is the fact that my mw gets back from vacation tomorrow and, although I would have loved to have the baby sooner, I do know that I'm probably sending the baby subcontious signals to stay put. So, hopefully tomorrow, we're home free, and can really try and start labor without any hangups.

Just thought I'd add a 'me, too' to this thread! My due date is 21 September (this Wednesday), but I'm not expecting the baby to arrive any time soon. Not a twinge in sight, and my bump is quite compact this time around - like it was with dd2, and she was 12 days late, so I'm preparing myself!

But the calls have already started...Mom called last night to ask if I'd had any twinges, because she was getting ready to go out and didn't want to miss any news! :LOL I assured her that she could safely go out and not miss the phone call annoucing this baby's arrival...

DS was also a September baby, but I was due on the 10th and had him on the 8th, so it was much easier - I didn't have to sit around all month reading about the new arrivals while still waiting for mine...(sigh)

I really REALLY hope this is a September baby, and I don't hang around until October (which is always a possibility...)

just checking in to send some labour vibes to the momma's who are still waitin! i was desperately crossing my legs and not wanting the baby to come til i finished my move to the new house so i was in a different position and i think that helped the baby come. last time i almost made it to 41 weeks so i know what it feels like!! take good care of yourselves and yeah, let the answering machine deal with everybody!!

I'm a first-timer too.

Today we're going to get some good prostaglandin action going and go mall-walking - hopefully it'll get something started! I've been bouncing and rocking on my birthball non-stop since last night, and I've been having quite a few barely painful contrax - hopefully they'll pick up a bit!

I'm here. I just joined MDC, but I've been lurking for awhile. I'm due Saturday (the 24th), but both my girls were late (11 days and 19 days) so we'll just see what happens. Oh, and got some action last night and all it did was give me some painful contrax and I went to bed early. I was hoping I'd wake up in active labor, but nothing today. So, the waiting game continues. Sending patience to all who need it (including me....)

i'm a first timer too!

My EDD was yesterday and I made the mistake of letting the measurements trick me into thinking baby was going to be early. Over 10 days ago, I was sitting at 2 cm/75%/0 station and I really believed that there was no way I'd make it to the due date. You live, you learn. Still waiting. Didn't bother with the internal at my last appt.

I guess patience is the first lesson of parenthood???

I must say, I'm having a hard time with it already.
