After finishing my first 8 organic diapers with poly thread, my special order organic cotton thread finally arrived in the mail.
I knew it would be thick, and that I've have to switch to a beefier needle and lower tension, but I'm still having problems with skipped stitches that I wasn't having previously with the thinner poly thread.
The stitch skipping occurs when I am stitching on the elastic and the aplix. (The rest of the diaper goes fine, although the tension looks a little off occasionally on the topstitching). It also tends to happen more with zig-zag stitches than straight.
Any suggestions?
TIA,
Jen
ETA: I had originally called my question "sewing with organic cotton thread" but changed the title in hopes someone would come along with an answer :LOL
