She has a cold

This stinks. Nursing was just getting better, she's a great sleeper for a 2 week old (4 hour stretches at night, waking just to nurse and then back to sleep). I knew it was too good to be true. She can't nurse well, can't breathe well, can't sleep well. Please send her some get-well-quick vibes!

Ds has it too, he got it first. He's doing well with it. He is on day 4.

My 6 day old DD has a cold too. : I think DS brought it home from preschool. Am doing things to boost my own immune system--taking garlic and grapefruit seed extract (V8 does a pretty good job of cutting the horrid taste of the latter by the way). Our midwife says as long as they're nursing that's a good sign. She said nursing takes a lot of work for a newborn and sometimes they give up on it to save energy, which you don't want. Hope your little one is better soon!
