Hi all,

just thought we'd introduce ourselves before starting to post. We are Yana and Jennifer,we have a brand new son (now 5 mo old) and we just found this board. Other members of our family are a large adorable dog and an annoying but still adorable cat.

Yana is the usual poster, as Jennifer stays at home, taking care of our son.

We're hoping to meet more queer families and learn from your experiences as we're just starting out with the parenting struggles.

Hello to both of you!

I was reading your post thinking it was coincidental to "meet" another Yana. I used to work with a Yana and I thought her name was pretty unusual.

Then my eyes caught your home town and that added to the coincidence. The Yana I knew was in Seattle. However, I'm sure the Yanas are different people.

Hello! Wow, seems like so many of the people who post in Queer Parenting are in Seattle. Maybe I'll post that we should have a queer mamas gathering, I want to meet you all!!
