Use of EPO internally and orally

Ladies, I have some questions about the use of EPO internally (as a vaginal insert) and orally.

During my last pregnancy I did 500 mg 3 x a day and 2 pills internally at night. My cervix was very ripe going into labor and I had pain during labor only for a very short while. I don't know if it had to do with that or not.

If you do EPO, what dose do you do?

A friend of mine is working with a MW who had her do a few "intensive doses"...literally around 20 500 mg pills inserted vaginally. What do you think of that?

Do you think that it actually works?

How early should someone start doing this?

I am just starting to think about what I am going to do now this time...I am 36 W 2 D. My first birth I went 41 W 2 D and for my second 40 W 2 D.

HUGS

I only did them vaginally. I would insert 2 pills at bedtime, and I started at 34 weeks.....I however was up against the clock since my Dr was talking induction at 37 weeks . I ended up delivering a happy healthy little girl at 35 weeks but had a 41 hour labor. I don't think that the week that I was using EPO made to much of a difference though, I mean I don't think had I not started so early that I would have had a different outcome as far as when I went into labor....my water just broke. I plan to start again at 35 or 36 weeks with 2 inserted vaginally at bedtime. JMO

When pregnant I did 1 1000 mg capsule EPO vaginally and 2 1000mg capsules orally per day starting at 36 weeks. I was 2 cm dialated and 50% effaced on the night I went into labour. I didn't technically go into labour on my own though, midwife swept my membranes which put me right into labour. I would do it again.
