Revelation about m/s!!!!!!!! - Page 2

I take the Rainbow Light brand, but I'm not sure my m/s is tied to them. In fact, I've been taking them for several weeks now, and they certainly made me feel less sick than the other prenatals I was taking. But lately my m/s has gone through the roof and I'm desperate. (In fact, a few sips of beer have *really* helped this evening. . .) But it goes on all day and night for me, so I'm willing to stop the prenatals for a bit, just to see. I figure, one day won't hurt, my diet is pretty good, and I'll just see what happens.

A lot of prenatals make me sick too, but not the Rainbow Light prenatals. They're whole food so you can take with or in between meals. I take the Food Based Complete Prenatal System (six pills per day)... I don't usually get all six in, but even three pills is better than a vitamin that might cause m/s or constipation and isn't likely to be absorbed anyway. Rainbow Light also has one a day vitamin that is food based but if you're looking to help with m/s I think the six a day pills would probably be better. It's worth the $$ IMO since I'm not eating a lot right now and losing weight.

I, too, skipped my prenatal vitamin the past couple of days and feel soooo much better. What the @#*%? I'm 9 weeks along now and wonder if I should try another brand or just try to eat healthy foods, which will be easier to do now that I don't feel so nauseous. Christ on a bicycle - they tell you to take the damn things and they make you feel like crap. Doesn't make sense.

I had my first pre-natal appt. on Thurs. My midwife told me that is was ok to go ahead and stop taking the pre-natal vits for a couple of weeks... until I start feeling better. Also, keep taking at least 800mg of folic acid.

I still feel green, but it's much less overwhelming.
