Aplix VS Touchtape

I know, I know... it's just a preference but I would love to know your reasons why you prefer one over the other. Please vote and then post your logic/etc as well. Thanks!

So far, I've only tried Aplix, so I'm interested in the commentary on this poll!

I've only used aplix (okay and a bit of hook velcro because I ran out of hook aplix and I was too impatient to place an order and wait for it to arrive before I finished the diaper. I was using all the left over bits of material anyway and the diaper itself was partially frankensteined, so who cares anyway! It's holding up pretty well...)

I did order a sample of touchtape just to check it out though. It's pretty stiff for my likes but VERY grippy. I think it's grippier than I need on the side closing diapers I'm making these days. It does come in great colours though...!

Before I began sewing, I researched the pros and cons of the two.

Touchtape has the advantage of coming in colors and having a stronger latch. It has the disadvantage of being stiffer.

Since I sew in natural fabrics, color is not important to me. The latch on the aplix is plenty strong, and I'm assuming it is a little quieter to open and close? (not startling a NB so much.)

By far, the most important factor to me, though, is the softness. I don't want baby's skin to be irritated by exposed stiff corners.

Of course, I've never even seen touchtape in person, so my opinion is completely based on third party information!
