I didn't even know this was here!

Just wanted to say 'HI'.
We have 4 bunnies (house buns) 2 Bettas and 4 Red Eared Sliders.

We are also in the process of deciding wether or not to get a puppy.

No human children yet, probably next year, but we've got plenty of furry ones.

Hi! What are Red Eared sliders? And about house bunnies... we're planning on getting another bunny soon (we've had them before) but never just loose in the house. How does that work? Do you have lots of litter boxes? Are they easy to litter train for around the house?

Red Eared Sliders are Turtles, You can easily find them in Pet Stores.

Bunnies are such cool house pets. you really need to make sure that all your cords are out of reach and/or wrapped up so that bunny teeth can't get to them.

Our buns don't get the run of the apt. at this point in time. I really wish they could, but they are not all bonded together and we haven't bunny proofed. We've got LOTS of cords laying around.

Rabbits are natural litter box users. They like to only go in one place (the larger the place they have to run around, you may need more then 1 box) They usually pick out the place they like, if they don't like the spot you've chosen. All you have to do is move the current box or get a new one to their chosen location. Their poop is really easy to pick up. They sometimes poop outside, but close, to their box. More of a territorial thing more then anything else.

For their litter you just make sure to use a natural litter: Carefresh or Yesterday's News are two goods ones. do NOT use Cedar, it can make them sick.

Hi! Hope it's okay to hijak your question to the op!! Our bunny (s) have always had free run of our home. Currently we have a 4 month old mini lop. She was a cinch to box train. We didn't give her free run right away but put a box in her roomy cage (condo- what we call it!) and she quickly learned that inor der to keep her area clean, she had to poop/pee in the box. Then she started getting more outside the cage time and we simply put a box down where ever she peed. So, we currently have 6 litterboxes in the house! BUT- she doesn't pee on the floor! We put all wires/cords in pvc tubing so she doesn't chew them as rabbits are electricity junkies... She lives quite happily, 90% of the time OUTSIDE her cage w/ us and our dogs and cat. She sits on the couch with us at night like a cat!! We use shredded newspaper for her "litter".
