I think just when Alex and Izzy are going to actually start a "relationship" he is going to leave to do plastic surgery. Also was it a spoiler? Someone new is coming aboard. I also wonder what the chiefs wife knows or has to say about his relationship with Merediths mom. They sorta entered his wife into the picture when they showed her in the last episode with the bomb.

The wife has shown up before, once last season when she insisted he stayed home after the brain surgery and once when (over the phone) she threatened to divorce him if he didn't go to a niece's school play, lol. Maybe more, that's all I remember.

thats true she did catch onto the whole, "that aint the she he was referring to" so she seems really smart and intuitive. Didn't watch religiously last saeson so I must have missed her. Is it just me and my TV or does it always look like Meredith has white shiny makeup around her eyes alot? I've noticed it a few times.
